Working as a national output producer for ITN and 5 News. Produce items for a variety of programmes and bulletins- sourcing material, editing parts of or whole reports as well as the key headlines. Interviewing contributors, writing and commissioning graphics. Working creatively as part of both teams to produce high-class, original material.
Working across TV output and digital platforms, promoting the channels’ output online and on social media. Consistently working under pressure to meet tight deadlines and high standards, liaising with all members of the teams in newsrooms and out on the road.
Arise TV
Writing and voicing reports on international stories of the day- from hard news to softer entertainment and cultural items. Presenting entertainment bulletins from the studio and doing live chats with main presenter on current entertainment topics.
Working as a producer to help build half hour and hour-long shows, including Africa Wrap, Global Sports Report, World Briefing and This Day Live. Writing cues and questions for a variety of guests, and meeting and briefing them before they go on air. Acting up as programme editor when required, producing the shows and seeing them out live from the gallery.
ITV
Scripting, voicing, presenting and editing news and entertainment packages from across the East of England. Trained video journalist- filmed a large proportion of my reports myself. Setting up stories and guests and interviewing them in both live and pre-recorded settings.
